America's Got Talent Winners Charity Concert

As we announced a few days ago, She & Jul Films had the honor to be one of the Official Sponsors of America’s Got Talent Winners Charity Concert held in Mercedes Benz Arena’s Mixing Room last Saturday. Michael Grimm and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr, who won the show in 2010 and 2011 performed in front of an audience of 1000 people, who were fascinated by their amazing voices. All the benefits went to Heart2heart, a non-profit organization that provides support and financial assistance to needy Chinese children who require hart surgery to repair their congenital heart defects.

The Library Project: From Shanghai to Sichuan

As we promised a few months ago after the charity event She & Jul Films organized in partnership with The Library project and ICE (Italian Office in Shanghai) to raise funds for rural schools in Sichuan, here is the report proving that all the benefits from that night went straight to schools and children in need in Yi Long, Sichuan.

Once again, many thanks to everyone who came and joined efforts for such a good cause!

The event was held two months ago in Shanghai and was hosted by She & Jul Films Founder Julliet Pan and sponsored by ICE (Italian Trade Comission Office in Shanghai), and other Hollywood starts such as Josh Hatcherson, Jim Carrey, Tom de Santo and Robert Minkof.

Steamy Kitchen Live Show at FHC 2013

She & Jul Films was invited by ICE (Italian Trade Comision Office in Shanghai) to attend to FHC Exhibition (China’s Global Food & Hospitality) held in Shanghai between November 13^th-15^th. We had a life show on set to showcase how brands can promote and place their products in our Cooking & Lifestyle TV Show “Steamy Kitchen”, hosted by She & Jul Films Founder and Steamy Kitchen Creator Julliet Pan and Chef Raul Farnea.

2015 Milano Expo Signing Ceremony

She & Jul Films was involved in the production of the 2015 Milano Expo Signing Ceremony held last Friday 22th of November in the Italian Pavilion Centre in Shanghai. Mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia, and other Italian and Chinese authorities gave a speech to the audience and media. The night ended with a promotional video of 2015 Milano Expo screened on the Aurora Tower. Yet another successful event that She & Jul Films worked with The Italian Trade Comission Office in Shanghai.

"When Art Meets Finance"

She & Jul founder Julliet Pan was invited by CBN (China Business Network) to a roundtable meting about art and finance in Wuxi. Ms Pan discussed with other speakers the hot topic “Shanghai Free Trade Zone”. At the end of the day all the listeners were fascinated wit her contributions.

She & Jul Films had the pleasure to be involved in the production and shooting of the press conference of Milano Unica Cina 2013. The act was hosted both by Milano Unica and the Italian Trade Commission Office in Shanghai with the presence of the Consul General of Italy Mr Vincenzo de Luca.

Julliet Pan at the Coach Chen Man Art Event

Shanghai October 11th 2013. She & Jul's Director and Founder Julliet Pan was one of the VIP guests at the footwear & art exhibition hosted by Coach New York and Beijing’s young photographer artist, Chen Man. Coach New York as one of the leading brands in the leatherwear market, trusts in Julliet Pan’s style and reputation, here is the reason why they provide, coats, handbags and heels to her so she can promote and wear them wherever she goes.

During the night, apart from Chen Man, Julliet Pan had the chance to share feelings and thoughts with other guests and friends from the fashion and art industry such as the art critic and curator Victoria Lu, and the CBN host Sophie Liu.

Julliet Pan has always said that there has to be a story behind every picture and photograph, and that is exactly what Coach and Chen Man were trying to prove with their exhibition.

Succesful charity evening hosted by Julliet Pan

Last Thursday 26th of September, She & Jul Films, in partnership with The Library Project and The Italian Trade Commission Office in Shanghai, hosted the Yi Long Fundraising Wine Tasting Evening in Shanghai art district. Over one hundred people came and helped making a difference to the rural education in China, while enjoying music and the wine and food served by the Italian Trade Commission Office. During the event, a few items such as a children’s book written and dedicated by Jim Carrey and a few signed posters from Transformers and Hunger Games main characters and producers were featured in a silent auction. At the end of the night more than 70000 RMB were collected. This money will help provide books and libraries to six rural schools in Sichuan province.

“优秀的导演和伟大的导演之间的区别在于蕴藏在其作品之后的思想驱动。”Julliet Pan, 出生于上海的新加坡华裔女导演在新片《The Lane活色生香》首映会采访中这样说道。

以荣誉学士的优异成绩毕业于世界著名的美国纽约大学艺术学院电影制作系的Julliet Pan在秉承NYU自由开放的学风的同时, 深受同为校友的李安、奥利弗·斯通以及马丁·斯科塞斯等大师的激励，使得她的作品在形式上追求自我、充满真实的脉动和生命的激情；在制作手法上精益求精，不拘一格。

Julliet Pan是目前在国内颇受好评且佳作不断的新晋华裔女导演, 她刚刚以制片人、后期总监和主剪辑师的身份与ICS联袂拍摄制作了《The Amazing Race-China Rush》第二季获得了”亚洲电视大奖”最佳电视节目改编奖. 由她编剧、导演和监制的短片《BUTTERFLY REFLECTION》入选了著名的法国克勒蒙费朗短片电影节（Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival）展播单元，深得国际好评。

日前，由Julliet Pan策划、导演、监制的国内首部多镜头国际题材都市轻喜剧《The Lane 活色生香》在上海举办了首映会。谈及创作的灵感，Julliet说到：“在我的生活中, 有中国亲人所带来的非常中式的生活方式与思想感情, 同时也有外国挚友所带来的非常西式的生活方式和感情表达方式; 在工作中, 我则有东西方融合的优秀团队和业务伙伴。这种得天独厚的环境, 让我能够驾轻就熟地在中西方文化中游刃有余, 既能看到其中的交融与碰撞, 又能挖掘出其中的趣味与亮点”。

如果说《The Lane》的创作灵感来源于Julliet对生活的体验和观察,那么选择上海作为故事的地域背景，则不得不让人注意到Julliet的特殊生活工作经历。出生于上海, 在好莱坞及新加坡的多年的海外生活工作经历让她对上海这个开放的国际化都市产生了独到的见解。她希望通过轻松幽默的喜剧方式, 拆开隔在中国人和外国人之间无形的文化之墙, 让彼此充分了解沟通。
